Velocity-X is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of Full
Stack Software Engineer to support our team in Northern Virginia. Infrastructure The Software
Engineer will be responsible for developing new Data Science production and development
environments. Development of RESTful web services and associated User Interface. Engineer
will have the opportunity to work with Kubernetes, TensorFlow, and Spark technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in multiple modern program languages and data stores
supporting activities listed in the position description - Full-stack development
- Java programming language
- JavaScript and Node.js
- AWS or other cloud experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of DevOps, release engineering and operations approach to
automate deployments - Demonstrated experience working in an Agile scrum team environment
- AWS DevOps professional certification or equivalent
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Vue.js
Position Clearance Requirement:
TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
