Velocity-X is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of Data Analyst to support our team in Northern Virginia. The candidate will be a member of a software development team supporting cloud-based application development.

Required Qualifications: 

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with file input and output
• Experience with libraries used to read and write structured data (XML, JSON, CSV, etc.)
• Experience with Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
• Proven ability to understand and debug existing code
• Experience working with large data volumes requiring highly performant code
• Experience with Information Security
• Experience with Confluence writing/editing

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Grafana
• Experience with MapReduce (EMR)
• Experience with Avro
• Experience with System Security Plans,
• Experience with System Technical Documentation

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
